FAQ

hackaTUM 2024 will take place on November 22-24 on-site in Garching (near Munich). 

There is no overall theme of hackaTUM. There will be 10 different tracks (challenges) on different topics provided by the partners of the event. Among these 10 challenges, participants will be able to choose which challenge they want to work on.

There are no participation fees.

hackaTUM is open for everyone. You do not need to be a TUM student or a student at all to participate.

You can apply for the event via our application form. Please note that everyone has to apply individually, even if you already have formed a team.

You do not need to have a team in advance. There will be a possibility to build a team on the first day of the event.

Your laptop, charger, optionally sleeping bag/mat, and a lot of energy! 

We do not provide accommodation, but there will be sleeping rooms at the venue, where you can sleep in/on your sleeping bags/mats.

A team must have between 2 and 4 members.

Teams will be registered during the event, the details will be communicated during the opening ceremony on Friday.

The challenges will be announced during the opening ceremony on Friday.

The language of the event is English.

You will get a notification latest on November 8, 2024.

There will be plenty of free food and drinks during the event!

Unfortunately, we cannot provide travel reimbursements.
